“Defined by Christ”
“Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.”
Luke 12:15
In a world that often measures success by possessions wealth and status Jesus reminds us that our true identity is not defined by what we own but by who we belong to. Many people spend their lives chasing things that appear valuable for a moment but do not bring lasting peace. Christ teaches us that life is far greater than material things and that our hearts must not be captured by greed or comparison.
When we are defined by Christ our perspective changes. We begin to value what God values and we learn to focus on things that are eternal. Jesus calls us to trust in God rather than in earthly possessions and to live with hearts that seek righteousness love and faithfulness. Our identity is not built on success in the world but on the grace and purpose that Jesus gives to our lives.
When Christ becomes the center of our lives we experience a deeper joy and peace that cannot be measured by wealth. A life rooted in Jesus reflects generosity humility and gratitude. As followers of Christ we are called to guard our hearts from greed and to remember that our true worth and identity are found in Him alone.
